LTO technology has evolved from the original LTO 1 right up to current day LTO 6 format. All forms of drive use very similar technology with the addition on encryption being added to later models.
LTO drives are an electro-mechanical device. This means drives can fail for a wide variety of reasons. Mechanical failure is a common cause of load and read/ writes issues. Due to the complex construction of the mechanics and the wide array of positional sensors located throughout the LTO’s mechanism alignment, tension and obstruction are often factors in an LTO’s performance.
Main control boards manage the LTO identity, data transfer and control of your LTO drive. Failures on the electronic side of LTO drives can result in a very wide range of fault symptoms.
All LTO repairs are returned with a full 1 years RTB warranty to give you peace of mind with regards to your data storage requirements.
